feel embarrassed, uncomfortable, and terrified to have people know your secret.
Let’s start right there… EVERY ONE ALREADY KNOWS THAT YOU HAVE THIN HAIR! Its not going to be a surprise to them when you show up looking beautiful in your new hair. They will probably be thinking
“What took her so long? She looks great!”
So what can you do to ease your own anxiety about your transformation?
First, let’s get you comfortable

Be sure to go to a reputable wig salon and have the experts help you find the perfect wig.
If you order online you will most definitely be disappointed and discouraged
(probably throw it out or use it for Halloween) and vow that there is no help for your thin hair!
There are so many types of wig caps and constructions that you need a knowledgeable consultant to help you navigate through all of the differences. A good consultant will also teach you all of the tips about putting your wig on, how to make sure it stays on (lots of funny stories about that…you gotta laugh, crying won’t do you any good!), daily care and cleaning.

Put on your wig, fluff it up, stand up tall, and go to Walmart!

Start by going to some stores where you can walk around anonymously and get used to the feel of your new wig, I guarantee you that no-one is pointing and staring at you. I once had a client say to me that he could always tell in the store when some one had a wig on. I pointed out the fact that I was wearing one and asked him what he thought. He said that he would never guess that I was wearing one if he saw me out some where. I then said that it was only the bad wigs that he could tell someone was wearing.
You would never know about all of the women that were wearing beautiful, natural looking
wigs chosen perfectly for them. He agreed!
Moral of that story….have an experienced specialist help you choose a quality wig
Now, how about your friends and co-workers

Like I said earlier, your thin hair is not a secret. none-the-less its still a frightening
thought to show up somewhere for the first time wearing a wig.
Choose a couple of close friends and co-workers and let them know what you have decided.
Tell them that the wig you have chosen makes you feel wonderful, like yourself again! Ask for their
support as you venture into this new phase of your life. I guarantee that they will all want to help!
So put on your biggest smile, put your shoulders back and get out there! What are you waiting for!
As always…Be Beautiful, Be Strong, Be Confident
